Episode 9: 90s
Spring cheers up Jed by doing good deeds in the old folks home; Courtney and Xander debut 90s fashion.
90’s was produced and directed by Kathleen Grace and written by Thom Woodley, based on an idea by Brenda Withers.
MUSIC
The band for this episode was two-man electro-juggernaut Shy Child (www.myspace.com/shychildmusic). Wish we could have shown you their pictures / performance like we usually do – but they’re all busy touring the world and stuff.
CAST
Our regular cast includes: Bob McClure (Jed), Lindsey Broad (Spring), Kelli Giddish (Courtney), Jeff Skowron (Ryan), and Matt Yeager (Xander).
Guest appearances for this episode include the ever-nonsensical Chris O’Connor as Early; comedic superman Baron Vaughn as the Photographer of Many Nations; and Charlotte and Sandy as the citizens of the senior center. Many cameos in the last scene, including Kathy, Ana, Shawn DB, and graphic designer Becca Winters.

HOOD
90’s was shot entirely in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
The senior center was the Swingin 60s Senior Center on Ainslie and Graham. The boys’ apartment is Shawn’s apartment, as usual. Street scenes were shot in the vicinity of Lorimer and Withers, roughly.
CREW
Three Directors of Photography for this one: Johnny North, Matt Marshall and Robby Rapaport. Sound was by Thom or whoever was free to hold the boom. Our editor was Ana Veselic.

I felt like Jed 2 weeks ago when I had my 27th birthday!! My ass-hat of a friend Andrew thought it was funny to leave "Happy 30th" on my myspace page,... I told him to get bent,.. and then I reminded "grampa" that I was only 15 days older than him so he is right there with me in age!! LOL!

Too funny! The whole episode I was trying to figure out whether I miss the '90s or am glad that they're over. The MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice referrences were worth the reminder. Great job!

I enjoyed this episode. The funniest part was how Early appeared in his 1890s get-up and started a new trend. The senior center scenes were different, and I liked how Courtney competed with Xander to start the 90s clothing trend first.

Funny, funny, funny. I loved the quick progression of scenes and the frenetic energy of the "trend race"; also Jed's ability to remain straight faced while old people are laughing. I also love Gertrude.

Great episode, kids. Way to go ! Being a retired greyhound, I can relate to Jed's depression over aging. Seems like just yesterday I was racing and living the life. Now I get tired running to the kitchen to get my daily greenie...and my butt hair keeps falling out.
