Cred was produced by Kathleen Grace, and written and directed by Thom Woodley.
Music
The band for Cred was the amazing Bravo Silva, quite possibly one of the best unsigned bands out there now. You should immediately learn who they are, download their music and talk them up. Or go see them at their residency at Pianos on the Lower East Side in July (July 5, 12, and 19). Bravo Silva is: Henry Silva (vocals), Joel Bravo (guitar), Metet Koeller (drums), Zoe Buck (synths and tambourine), and Ian Everall (bass). Befriend them for reals at www.myspace.com/bravosilva
Cast
Our regular cast includes: Kelli Giddish (Courtney), Matt Yeager (Xander), Lindsey Broad (Spring), Bob McClure (Jed), and Jeff Skowron (Ryan).
Chris O’Connor (Early) is a founding member of the inimitable award-winning sketch comedy group Fearsome. Waste no time in checking them out- they’re beyond awesome.
Joe Randazzo (Stanislav) is an assistant editor for The Onion, which we hardly need to mention for its radness.
Mike Still, who makes a brief appearance as The Communist, is a founding member of New York sketch group A Week of Kindness, which has some of the funniest video sketches this side of the internet. (Don’t ask us what the other side is – but we can assume it’s porn.)
Guest appearances for this episode include: Julia Wiedeman (Beatrice, the sidewalk vendor), Matt Kinney (Credit Card Guy), Julie Fitzpatrick (Barista Sculptor), and the creepy Terry Withers (Moustache Guy). Kathy makes an appearance as the Art Girl. Thom and Johnny make appearances as a Director and his Cameraman. Thom’s hand also makes an appearance as part of a Corpse.
'HOOD
Cred was shot almost completely in Williamsburg. The café scene was shot at
Stain on Grand, an arts lounge dedicated to local products and talent, with possibly the best wall art around. The ending bar scenes and Bravo Silva were shot at Asterisk Art Space on Johnson Street, an independent gallery and music space. Courtney’s audition was shot at Second Stage Theatre. The sidewalk vendor scenes were shot at the busy, busy corner of Bedford and North 7th.
Crew
Our Director of Photography was Johnny North. Sound was by Cliff Brett and Jeremy Cherson. Art Direction by Alexis Weiss. Georgie Enders on Continuity. Our editor was Ana Veselic. Thom, Kathy and Ana also helped swing cameras.
