Dammit, now I wish I'd left a nasty comment just to get in the video. Too bad I don't think you suck. That was hilarious. But I did grow up in Wisconsin and lived in Williamsburg for a few years, so what the hell do I know?

I'm speachless. I know, I know, this will not get me into the next "Fan Mail." Nonetheless, I don't think I could have pictured those comments played out more perfectly!

i nearly fell out of my chair when spring did the "look me, i drink PBR" bit. this one was also a nice "fuck you" to anyone who thought the episodes (and particularly the shorts) were already starting to jump sealife. inspired stuff...

#8 - i guess if it needs pointing out, it isn't funny... 'fuck commies' is an example of a commentor not understanding the context of the item on which he is commenting - just like 'your worst nightmare'. Arg!

Instead of fixating on dumb fan mail, try making the next episode funnier, because the show is sinking.

Also, try tightening up the editing, there are a lot of sluggish moments. Great cast, though.

I thought it was "Fuck Comments." Oh well, whatev.

Yeah, the Burg's all about "ripping on hipsters" which is the aspect that the commenter in Fan Mail completely missed.

People who don't love The Burg don't GET The Burg.

Some very enlightened statements from someone who hasn't "watched any of your hipster garbage" yet STILL hates it! It's not this show that is this person's "worst nightmare". Perhaps it is remedial english in order to go back and figure out commas (fuck them), capitalization and yes even punctuation. Heeeeey Macarena... AIGHT!

This is a show created by white college kids, who WISH they were hipsters(how sad is that?) but got rejected, so they made a show trying to satirize hipsters. But, this is a poor attempt at a satire, because ripping on hipsters makes them hipper than thou, so they become the thing they hate, and when they're called out, they catch feelings! PATHETIC!

Oh, and for those of you who think I'm some out-of-work kid, who's never gone to college, or never gone abroad to Prague your wrong. I'm enrolled in my senior year at Princeton. Oh, I've been to Prague. Well, I haven't "been to Prague" been to Prague, but I know that THING. That, "Stop shaving your armpits, read the Unbearable Lightness of Being, date a sculptor, now I know how bad American coffee is thing...now I know how bad American beer is thing."

S27, THIS is a college kid/indie film/indie rock hipster website. Did you think that pointing out my quote from Kicking and Screaming made you look clever? EVERYBODY recognized it. I like how that's the ONLY thing you could comment on, considering my whole post can't be refuted. Your screenname is Yeag3r? Wow, the people producing this garbage are so weak and transparent it's not even funny.

29: Just clarify the cool thing for me, so I have it right...So, I'm supposed to quote movies in full paragraphs, but DEFINITELY DON'T call attention to that, and just assume that everyone knows exactly what I'm talking about? Just want to make sure I have it right...

Anybody who calls something "in your face funny" has GOT to be the only type of person to find this drivel funny. I hate hipsters, but this show doesn't say anything that hasn't been said. This show makes It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia(ecch!) look like Seinfeld. I was dissapointed.

Just wanted to say that I am really looking forward to the next full episode, because I like the show. I am not going to take any kind of stand here, but I would like to say that it would be nice if people could get behind this project, because I think that the people working on "The Burg", really are commenting well on real issues that need to be adressed.
As a native New Yorker who now lives in Williamsburg, I feel firsthand the damage that the "hipster scene" has done. I have never seen so much judgement and insecurity amongst priveledged youth, ruining artistic community potential. For those of us that are just trying to walk down the street, make some honest music, art or whatever, we are constantly bombarded by people trying way too hard to make you feel bad about yourself. Even now, someone reading this may be plotting an attack on my character for being "obvious", or "self-pitying", or a "wanabee hipster", or something even more clever that I could neehhver think up.
The bottom line, sorry for taking the time, is that I think this show is creative, and the more people we have making art like "The Burg", the better off we will be.

I think that Humphrey character is a subtle genius. I mean, really, the comments for this short could be made into another short and, as I'm sure they've intended, Vanderbilt is doing a splendid job of earning the leading role! Did you guys every stop to think that your reaction is exactly what was supposed to come from these provocative shows. Genius, I tell you.

Nothing provocative about this show. It's so bland it belongs on BS right after 2 and a Half Men. Seriously. They should stick to shorts, because the longer shows oly have 2 minutes worth of interesting observations.

I like the show although sometimes I think it's just an edgier version of Friends. That's ok though. As much as I hate to admit it, Friends was pretty good sometimes. It wasn't very hipster-like but it had 3 hot chicks and that's a winning formula for any show.

nice work guys. love it. you've got a great premise, a lot of good humour and your stories are for the most part pretty strong, very lary david of you. i thought the coloring and exposure in this short was noticibly the best you guys have done thus far but the editing in this particular short was a bit too fast and jumpy, maybe you go too many times to the 4-square layout, which could be distracting from the great material you have to work with. also, i get that sometimes you're going for the "24" (the tv show) zoom-in, overexposed look but sometimes it is distracting from the story and we can't see the characters. that is fine if you have a reason for doing it that is tied into the story, such as waiting for a reveal but make sure you make the camera moves motivated instead of just cool camera moves because it can detract from what you are trying to do. but i can tell that each episode gets better and better. just a note to keep in mind. so keep up the good work. can't wait for the next episode! it's a real joy to watch. i think i know all too many hipsters... :)
