Chemistry was produced and directed by Kathleen Grace and written by Matt Yeager and a little bit by Thom Woodley.
MUSIC
The band for this episode was the indie rock-pop outfit Takka Takka, (www.takkatakkamusic.com and/or www.myspace.com/takkatakka).). Earnest, honest, and eminently likable, Takka Takka is currently touring the US alongside Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. Well deserved, lads!
CAST
Our regular cast includes: Lindsey Broad (Spring), Bob McClure (Jed), Jeff Skowron (Ryan), Kelli Giddish (Courtney), and Matt Yeager (Xander).
Guest appearances for this episode include the always punctual, sometimes-functional Chris O’Connor (Early). This time check out Chris and his group, Fearsome, in one of the stranger things ever: Abby Go Dabby. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWyVmnm19Tc
HOOD
Chemistry was shot sort of entirely in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Spring was unintentionally filmed walking through Bicycle Fetish Day, held at the City Reliquary on Havemeyer (cityreliquary.org), a stellar place to get your history on.
Xander’s movie was shot at the track at McCarren Park and the nearby McCarren Pool, which does great summer concerts (some for free, some for not so free – www.thepoolparties.com).
The final scene was shot at Bushwick Country Club on Grand Street. We’re regulars and love their special members only drinks.www.bushwickcountryclub.com
Takka Takka performed at Union Hall in Park Slope. A great bar complete with bocce ball courts so you can channel your inner old Italian man.
CREW
Our Director of Photography was Johnny North. Sound was by Clint Higgins, and Thom Woodley (reluctantly). Our editor was Ana Veselic. Thom, Ana, and Eric Dow also shot a bit.
